Wings on the Mountain is a post-Civil War inspirational adventure, that tracks the lives of two young widows who find themselves alone and desperate in the harsh and rugged Colorado Rockies. Copper Delaney's life as an orphaned bondservant, had always been one of hardship and abuse. However, just when things seem to be improving, she's forced to escape into the mountains and search for stolen plunder. Knowing all the while that she must find it, before the ghost-like outlaw, Dirk Culley, finds her! Instead of freedom and independence, the young redhead ends up frightened, starving and hopelessly lost! Mariah Kent's life as the heir to the great Candlestick Ranch of Texas was one of privilege. However, her parents quickly disown her when she marries the wrong man! A year later, she finds herself living in a tiny mountain shack, on a ranch that her abusive husband refuses to work. The pale-blonde beauty who once dined with dignitaries must now dig through the town garbage for food and sleep in the livery to stay warm. Hungry, cold, alone and friendless, she must find a way to survive, in the harshest of all places. The year is 1865, a time when even the strongest and most courageous of women lived at the mercy of the men around them. Will the rough and hardy mountain men who find these two vulnerable women be men of mercy and honor? Or will they be the kind of men who have no mercy?

About the Author:

Author, L. Faulkner-Corzine was born in the shadow of Pike's Peak. Her father's need of a ranch-hand and her own love of horses kept her in the saddle throughout her early years. Corzine enhances her inspirational and romantic Westerns with the true-life experiences of five generations of ranch life. She also carefully seasons each story with the wisdom of God's Word, as well as her love and respect for the pioneer.
