About the Author:
Kim Brockington is thrilled to share her first book Bluegoddess Love Poems A Journey to Self Awakening. Kim is an actress of TV, Film, and Stage. Soap Fans will remember her best from Guiding Light as Felicia Boudreau. Literary buffs will love that she portrayed Zora Neale Hurston the great prolific writer of the Harlem Renaissance in the PBS Documentary for American Masters. She has performed Zora, as a one woman tour de force theatrical piece for countless high schools, universities,and theaters. The Kennedy Center, Library of Congress and American Place Theater to name a few. She is an Audelco Award winner for Outstanding Performance in a Musical.She has toured and performed all over the USA in various plays and cities. She has guest starred on several televison shows,and appeared in various films as well. She is also an audio book narrator,voice over and commercial artist on countless projects. She attended Morgan State University and majored in English, Journalism, and Theater. She is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She lives in New York city with her family where she enjoys jazz,long walks,yoga and daily meditation. She has been writing poetry and stories for many years and is very excited to share these heartfelt poems at last! Although she is a native from her beloved Baltimore Maryland, she loves visiting her family where most have relocated to the sunny, beautiful island of St. Croix ( the cover of this book was taken there by Candace Pugh) Kim is currently working on writing a play, a novel and of course her second book of poetry.
