As the saying goes, “I’ve been around the world twice, talked to everyone once. I’ve been beat up, blown up and stabbed, shot at and missed, Shit at and hit.” The good news is that I’m still here to tell the tale, and if I don’t say so myself, it is amusing as hell. Or as my readers say “Politically incorrect & laugh out loud funny.” This book is view of the Iraq war that not many normal civilians get to see. So if you lost your personality in card game, you’re really thin skinned or easily offended. DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER!!! This book is a compilation of emails that were written and sent off to friends and family while the author was working in Iraq as a security contractor from 2003 -2006. From the onslaught of positive responses from everyone encouraged him to continue sending the accounts of his daily life & activities in the sand box in the form of emails, letters & Stories. This is how this book came into reality. War time humor , if such a thing even exists .

About the Author:
Charles Meier was born the first of 7 children in the small German town of Fredericksburg Texas. He joined the U.S. Navy at 18, and set out to see the world and to find the adventure that life had to offer him, and is still in finding it today. Since he left the small town of Fredericksburg Texas, he has been a lot of things. Starting out as a Structural mechanic / search and Rescue swimmer for the U.S. Navy, an Air crewman, and crew chief on H-1, Huey’s, and H-3 Sikorsky helicopters. After his stint in the Navy, he became a crash rescue fireman. Then a Sheriff’s deputy serving as a road patrol deputy and on both the S.W.A.T. & Dive teams for the Monroe county sheriff’s department. He then went overseas and worked as a private security contractor for several years. during that stint as a contractor he has been blow up 6 times, Three in the same day. Apparently it was time to come back home. He has also been a Private Pilot, skydiver, S.C.U.B.A diver, a bouncer , announcer, Dj, boat Captain, pirate, Viking, minister, and motivational speaker. For several years he even managed one of the best little strip clubs in the Florida keys Twice. ( but that is a different story.) Interested yet? You haven’t even scratched the surface. Charles Meier has been called a character with character. Open the pages of this wild rant, and you’ll come to be regaled with stories of woe about a man and his travels, around the world and his unique perspectives and misadventures, that most people never will get into or understand, but he somehow seems to survive. With a little help from some of his friends and family he is also become an author and storyteller extroidinare, and is now sharing these adventures with you . He still lives on the island of Key West, Just 90 miles from the coast of Cuba with his wife and daughter , and is still telling stories to anyone who will listen . He will stay on the island as long as the island will have him.
