Addiction is a serious issue that has affected many lives throughout the world. From the onslaught of alcoholism to hardcore and over-the-counter drug use; once Substance Abuse takes place (especially in the teen years), and when severe can lead to interference in early brain development and functioning, as well as brain cell deficiency, organ damage, and even untimely death. With many clinical, medical and scientific studies done over the past 30 years or so, which often focus on the emotional, psychological and even neurological aspects of addictive behavior; what then does the realm of astrology have to say about addiction and the addictive personality? That’s the main focus of this 5-part book series: to uncover and examine this often dark subject by deepening and penetrating the reader’s basic understanding of the complex nature of the addict through the eyes of astrology. Based on independent research and interpretative analysis; comprising of 150 astrological birth charts, ranging from the famous to not-so-famous with the sole purpose of answering the following questions: why is it that certain individuals choose to live a life of substance abuse; including why some recover and why some don’t; while other individuals never become involve in chemical substance abuse, in the first place. Book 1 of this series begins our astrological perspective on addiction and the addictive personality: as seen through the Planets including a brief definition and history about astrology, and how it’s so much more than just the Sun Sign. Based on a special astrology program known as the Astrodyne Method, the Planets in each individual case study’s chart was then further analyzed and interpreted with the intention to deepen the reader’s understanding of the intricate personality aspect of both the Addict (Substance Abuse and Recovery) and the Non-Issue Person. Each planet chapter opens with some astronomical facts about that particular planet; the mythological origins behind the names as we know them today followed by my personal ‘Astrodyne’ research and interpretation for each Planet, then ending with an interpretative analysis of the most significant planetary aspects found among the three case study groups. Complete with charts, data tables and other graphs, this book series reflects the overall astrological data and findings that were uncovered during my independent research on addiction: as seen through astrology.

About the Author:

Robert Reis was first drawn to astrology way back in 1990 when, at the age of eighteen, he first listened to the morning horoscopes on a local New York radio station on his way to school.

Not until 1998 did he begin to study this fascinating subject more in depth and, starting in 2010, studied under the tutelage of professional astrologer Doria Gambino, whom he credits with helping him to perfect both his skills and expertise.

In addition to cultivating his work in astrology, he also earned an associate’s degree from Essex County College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Montclair State University.

He conducts his astrology practice in Passaic County, New Jersey, where he lives with his life partner and their two cats.
