About the Author:

Fiona began quilting as a young mum in 1994 and began teaching in 1995. She loves to inspire people to think outside-the-box and get them moving in the direction they want to take their quilt journey. Over the past several years, she has refined a process which allows her to create dozens to hundreds of designs from one simple motif. This process lead to writing her first book called The design master plan: Creating motifs and borders. As she has around 2000 designs on her computer, she decided to share the best of them with you in her books, From labels to whole-cloths: Volumes one and two. Fiona enjoys creating unique quilts—especially landscapes. She has never been one to follow the crowd when it comes to her quilts, she prefers to do her own thing instead. She is an avid domestic machine quilter, and loves analysing and designing colour schemes. Fiona has won state quilt show awards over the years in Australia.
