Reena K. Bindra started writing stories as a child growing up in Kenya. As the oldest sibling amongst 5 children, she made up stories for her younger sisters and brother. The stories flowed easily through her imagination and then she realized that she had a gift with storytelling. By the age of 12 she had written many stories for her own entertainment as well as her siblings. Her teachers and parents encouraged her to treasure and publish them. At 12 years old her family moved to Botswana and Reena grew up to writing for newspapers and magazines, while studying at the University of Botswana. After graduation, she became a school teacher and also a children’s yoga teacher. As she taught children and learned from them, her love for storytelling grew and grew. When she writes stories, her vision is that of expanding a child’s (as well as an adult’s) imagination and inspiration. She lives in Vancouver BC, with her husband and their little girl. Reena loves to meander in the trails of the forest and mountains. Although her writing covers a span of several genres, her first love is children’s fiction. She is presently at work on a new book.
