Harry Saffold Jr. is the creator of UNLOCK , a series of short stories geared to educate the youth, parents, and facilitators on the dangers of gangs, drugs, gun violence, domestic violence, bullying, etc. Life for Harry was of the norm until her turned 10, the year he was sexually abused by an older cousin and once by a neighbor. After experiencing the abuse Saffold found himself on a troublesome path in life, moving through life and found himself at odds with his immediate family, school officials, the community, and law enforcement, and age 19 shot a man and landed in prison for 12 1/2 years. Today, Saffold leads a quiet life but renders advice to the youth, their parents, and administrators at youth facilities. Life is full of challenges, and the information we attain and apply allows us to go through, not untouched, but with the needed information which yields results that are rewarding. UNLOCK was designed by Harry Saffold Jr., a native of Alabama and sexual abuse survivor who faced and rose above it all. After experiencing abuse, Harry landed on a rollercoaster of hardships in his quest to prove that he would no longer be a victim. Such tactics placed him at odds with his immediate family, public school officials, the community, and law enforcement. After taking flight above sexual abuse, and being bullied, making visits to detention centers, and sinking knee-deep in street activities, Harry pocked the wisdom accumulated, and today, provides short stories that educate and inform the youth and their parents about the dangers of gangs, drugs, guns, domestic violence, bullying etc. Harry too, understands the pressures that comes with being a teen, and in spite of mistakes made, his aim is to present information that will steer youth down a brighter and promising path.
