About the Author:

Scott Jensen is Founder and Head Instructor of 10,000 Victories School of Kung Fu and Tai Chi in San Rafael, CA. Scott Jensen is committed to preserving, teaching and sharing the traditional Chinese martial and healing arts ensuring these important cultural legacies are not lost. Scott Jensen was born in Berkeley, CA, and graduated from Cal State East Bay with a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy. Today, he lives in San Rafael, CA, with his wife, Rachel Jensen, whose pictures illustrate this book, and his son, Connor. Jensen trained intensely under demanding traditional Kung Fu and Tai Chi instructors such as Wong Jackman, his primary teacher for 25 years, from whom he inherited Northern Shaolin, Lohan Quan, Tai Chi Chuan and Xing Yi Quan. Scott Jensen has made more over 20 research trips to Taiwan and China studying personally with national treasures such as Liu Wan Fu (Intercepting Hands Boxing), Liang Ke Qian (Form and Will Boxing), Zhang Hua Sen (8 Diagrams Palm) and Zhang Kai (3 Kingdoms Cannon Fist) in China, and Chen Yun Ching (Tai Chi and weapons) in Taiwan. With over 35 years of experience, Scott Jensen is a widely acknowledged expert who is frequently invited to be a Head Judge at San Francisco Kung Fu and Tai Chi tournaments. Scott Jensen is also the Founder and President of the Chinese Cultural, Healing and Martial Arts Association, a 501(c)3 non profit educational corporation that supports the teaching and sharing of information about Chinese cultural, healing, and martial arts. Scott Jensen competes internationally, being a former, and current, member of the US Traditional Kung Fu Team, and winning the Gold Medal for his Yang Style Tai Chi at 3rd World Internal Martial Arts Championship at Wudang Mountain, China, the legendary birthplace of Tai Chi. Rachel Jensen - (Yu Shuan Chen - add characters) was born and raised in Tainan, in southern Taiwan. Tainan is the old capital and original port of Taiwan, and is the cultural and religious center of Taiwan. Steeped in Taiwan’s unique traditional culture, Rachel learned traditional calligraphy from an early age.
