Synopsis

This book seeks to uplift our hearts and turn our eyes to the Lord God Almighty, the God our Father, who made the heavens and the earth. As it is written in the sacred Scriptures, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord God Almighty Who made the heavens and the earth” (Psalm 121:1–2). There is only one God and one mediator between God and man, the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave His life for us and by His sacrifice on the cross purchased eternal redemption for all who believe. “And Jesus answering said unto them, ‘I came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance … For the son of man is come to seek and to save those who are lost’” (Luke 5:31–32; 19:10). In this book, we endeavor to present the Lord Jesus Christ as the sacred Scriptures portray Him—the eternal One, who in oneness with the Father and the Holy Spirit birthed all life and the entire creation. It is in Jesus Christ alone, by placing our complete trust in Him while turning from sin, that we find true peace and life everlasting. Our Lord Jesus is saying to us all, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly at heart, and you will find rest unto your souls” (Matthew 11:28). Through the divine operation of the Holy Spirit, we obtain salvation, healing, deliverance, strength, comfort, and ultimate victory in Christ. Let us draw near to God with full assurance of faith, with our souls washed in the blood of Jesus and our hearts sprinkled with clean water. Unto the God of our Fathers let us now return, for in spite for in spite of all our human failings and weaknesses, we may truly come through our Lord Jesus Christ with boldness and humility to the throne of grace, that we may obtain grace to help us in this hour of need. Amen!
