A story of brothers, hood, and hope. In a town that was once a leisure destination away from the Big City, things have become tragic. David tells his story of recovering from a traumatic fight to struggle to find a sense of self worth and belonging. The town and its neighboring towns have conflicts that must be put aside to see the positive. David has a supportive family who do their best no matter what to encourage, inspire, and advise him as he tries to understand certain new difficulties growing as a young man. The towns are comprised of a strongly racially, religiously and culturally diverse population that allows him to get to know different people and understand different perspectives. Through his siblings he learns understanding from their perspectives and compassion. A tough thing to acknowledge and accept is that, not only won't everyone support you, but some won't want you to succeed. David faces the decisions to be vengeful, to succumb to the ways of others, and to lash out. As the eldest sibling, he has to figure out his position, while he watches their single mother as she struggles working full time and managing the family. With family from all sides of the tracks, and both towns, David gets to understand different views. In finding out what type of man he will be. David takes a look around himself to begin defining his own character and finding his way.

Aqeedah is a New Jersey native, returned home from college in Atlanta, Georgia; to help at home and in her neighboring hometowns. Interactions with the community sparked the idea for BLUE in 2012, before any ideas on the characters or story line. The random death of her older brother in 2013, is what motivated her to cease the moment, use her time wisely and pursue this idea even more. Her aim was to create a story that would inspire, motivate and unite her hometowns and encourage the youth. This is a story that was written from the heart. A tale of belonging and self worth in a society that challenges individuality.
