Two centuries ago, Artell Schrodinger the First, inspired by a legend, embarked on a journey to find the power to better his people and unwittingly set his world down the path of utter destruction instead. In his attempts to rectify his mistakes and delay the doom of all those living on Alestra, Schrodinger built the Arc Crystal Engines which allowed those who constructed them to live in the sky above the miasma that had slowly consumed their planet. Captain Carver and his crew had pulled off yet another perfect heist, one which Carver had been intent upon for some time as the merchant vessel in question was rumored to be unassailable. The prize for taking down The Boulder: a strange, ancient artifact that becomes a great burden for Carver. Now he and his crew are targets, hunted by the most secretive and powerful elements in their society as he learns the truth about Alestra’s terrible past and must push his way through a myriad of lies to stand a chance at making things right. However, Captain Carver, a legendary pirate as well as a sentient metal construct once made to fight mortal men’s battles, is perhaps the least likely person to garner the sympathy and trust of the world at large. Outgunned, and outmanned, Captain Carver and his crew must survive being locked in battle with the strongest forces in the sky as he tries to figure out a way to save it all. Will Carver and his crew be able to muster up the numbers and power to stop the destruction of their world before it all comes crashing down? “If’n it were easy it wouldn’t be worth doin’...”

Product Description:

Welcome to Alestra Captain Carver. That is the name of the legendary sky-pirate that stalks the skies around Liar's Peak and untold leagues surrounding. A sentient construct made of metal and for the purposes of peacekeeping or making war for their creators, a cyrian, Captain Carver is the only of his kind to roam freely. He, with his crew of vagabonds, cutthroats, berserkers, and extraordinary souls, makes up one of the most powerful pirate crews in the sky. However, nothing is ever simple. A raid job gone sideways will have Captain Carver and his crew fighting against the most powerful organizations in the sky and struggling against untold forces. If that weren't enough, they have to find a way to balance their old pirate lives with the suicidal mission that is to save the world against a creature of utter darkness, all the while trying not to end up on the hang-man's noose. “If'n it were easy it wouldn't be worth doin'...”

About the Author:

My full name is Michael Darian Adams, I was born in Victorville, California, and for the most part of my life lived in a nearby city called Barstow. I am 22 years of age, and for the past 11 years I have been writing stories. I began on simple text based role-playing websites where I would conduct myself as a character in a shared story with others. Eventually, I became quite adept at creating interesting situations, judging what a character might or might not feel, and stepping out of my own head in order to see things from another perspective. I suppose given how much fun I had doing so, it was natural for me to progress to wanting to become an author. An avid reader myself, I always wondered what it would be like to write a book, to actually be able to call myself an author. In spite of the nature of a biography being more about the author, I find myself hesitant to divulge much about my own life and how things have been up to this point. I think the majority of readers might refrain from reading about sorrowful tales, so instead I will focus on the good things that have happened to me in the recent past. Of that assortment, I have recently moved into another state, Oregon, with my fiance and her family on invitation from the latter. Since then, I have worked closely with my wife-to-be, Summer, as well as her brother and mother in attempting to get my first book edited and completed. Beyond that, though, I have my own twin brother and his fiance to thank for providing motivation and assisting in editing my many grammatical errors as I type away my story with a frenzy. My life has some worry, but much love and happiness as well, so I feel I cannot complain. Of hobbies, I enjoy cooking, walking around outside when the weather doesn't feel like some dreadful concoction of weather from one of my stories, playing (many) video-games, reading fantasy and other fiction genre books, writing my own books, and learning about interesting sciences in the world. I believe I have rambled somewhat, but I hope that perhaps you might have some slight insight as to my character, if not my interests. It is my sincerest hope that you enjoy my first book and eagerly await the many more that I intend to create! Sincerely, Michael Adams
