A book of both inspiration and strategy. To see learning as the single most important process for living and advancing. The process of learning is necessary for us to understand our environment including both biotic and abiotic factors. The need to interact with other humans, animals and plants, dictate that learning is essential. For how then will we be able to communicate and work appropriately with others in our world. The Beauty of Learning initially was an assessment system, developed for teaching in 2008. This developed into the Beauty of Learning for inspired thinking and actions with the core essence retained. To hold oneself accountable for your own progress in life is to embrace the principles and concepts embodied in the Beauty of Learning. To take responsibility for your own learning is the first step in achieving a higher standard of living. Life is not meant to be stagnant, and like a flowing stream life requires a constant flow of energy in the form of knowledge. Usain Bolt sustained his powers for twelve years as the worlds' greatest ever sprinter of all times. How could he have achieved such glory if he did not embrace the Beauty of Learning. For with every stride that he took, he was learning more and more. With every breath that he take, he must seek to be more efficient, more organised and more effective. For all that it's worth, the glory of life resides in the Beauty of Learning. Let your behaviour be consciously determined, for it is a matter of choice. 'Oh, look what you made me do' is neither true nor helpful, for it is by our own thoughts that our actions are determined. To blame others and the environment for our behaviour is to ignore the root cause for our actions, our own choices. Every action can be assessed for its efficiency and where our efforts are rooted in disciplined actions, our success is quite remarkable. Action without sustained and efficient effort is futile, leading to minimal progress or even decline. Action with every ounce of your being ignited in the passion of your achievement, creates greatness. The one thing we have total control over is our own attitude. While the behaviour of others can affect us, so too can the efforts of others on whom we might depend from time to time. The one thing no one can determine for you is your own attitude. That is completely yours. So, your team is down and you are not well. You can give in or give everything to win. The way we perceive all situations determines our attitude, so look for the solution and focus on the good and positive. With understanding life becomes easy. Without understanding, life is hard. To understand what we did, what we are doing, and what is to come, makes learning the center stage for progress. To learn is to understand the knowledge you have acquired by means of application. So understanding is at the heart of The Beauty of Learning. To understand the need for targets is to realize the need for direction. Having targets gives us direction and focuses our actions in the way to achieve our goals. Finally, we must have ways and means to achieve our goals and dreams. To achieve our target we must have and do what it takes. Give yourself the greatest chance, give yourself the greatest victory. Conquer fear with action and step into your greatness. The Beauty of Learning is your daily guide, your daily companion, your daily source of inspiration and strategy to accompany you on your quest for greatness. I will be that which I will to be.
