An interesting modification to the Christmas Tree Light-Sails would involve an external and/or internal coating or blanket of wool-like fabric. The hairs or fibers of the fabric would include negative refractive index aspects for all matter and energy waves incident from the boward side of the fibers and matter and energy wave reflective aspects on all matter and energy waves incident from the sternward side of the fibers. Moreover, these fibers would have additional properties such as super-electromagnetic emissivity such that the fibers would cool below ambient temperatures. Accordingly, the thermal emissions of the fibers that are incident from the spacecraft sternward direction would be reflected while the thermal emissions of the fibers that are incident from the boward direction would be absorbed and converted to spacecraft thrust via the selective negative electromagnetic refractive index features of the fibers. The negative refractive index aspects would include mechanisms for which incident Standard Model and Mirror Matter Model; photons, charged leptons, neutral leptons, quarks, neutral baryons, charged baryons, and mesons would pull on the fibers in the boward direction for which the particles are incident. The Standard Model and Mirror Matter Model masons would include both matter and antimatter versions. Additionally, supersymmetric fermionic and bosonic negative refraction index features would also be included for incidence of SUSY particles from the boward direction. What’s more, gravitational radiation negative refraction index and reflective aspects would be similarly included as would anti-gravitational wave analogues. The operation of the wool as a propulsion mechanism depends on the spacecraft Lorentz factors, angle of particle incidence, and any other unspecified mechanisms. The woolly mechanism is assumed to be adjustable in a time dependent manner. The fibers may be constructed out an any conceivable and useful materials. It is also assumed that all other conjectured propulsion modes or a limit subset of the other propulsion modes may optionally be operative simultaneously with the woolly mode. In order to abstractly include the wool mechanism into the formulas for spacecraft Lorentz factors included in this series of volumes, an operator which is dimensionless and having a value which may be negative, zero, or positive is inserted in all relevant linear power terms. The operator is context specific as indicated so as to enable varying degrees of effectiveness with respect to distinct propulsion modes and differing locations or elements of the Christmas Tree Light-Sail space-craft.
