The late author, John Robbins, was familiar with blue collar communities like his main character, Les Moore. As a Methodist minister, his father and mother were loving parents to Mr. Robbins and his younger brother. They lived and served in small communities near the coal towns of nearby West Virginia and the steel towns near Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Robbins never left his beloved Pennsylvania. Employed for many years by the corporation, Duquesne Light, he also served as President of a local union, IBEW No. 144. In addition to writing, Mr. Robbins was a photographer, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and Democrat. Most cherished in his life was his family. The Business Card Murders is his first published work, and is dedicated to him and to his beloved family. Profits from this book will be donated to The American Cancer Society.
