The hotly contested sliver of land designated as the nation of Israel since 1948 is claimed by the Jewish people of the world as their ancient homeland. Other more recent claims by Arab neighbors called Palestinians claim the land for themselves. This book examines Scripture and history to define and defend the right of Israel to their birthright territory, Israel. Ancient and modern history show the return of Jews to Israel, and their battles to remain there as a sovereign nation were predicted in the Bible centuries ago. The land was promised to Abraham, and God keeps His promises. The book also shows how Jewish occupation of the Land has benefitted the Arabs who have lived among them peacefully.

Dr. Leeland H. Crotts was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona, where as a teenager he received eternal life through faith in Yeshuah Hamashiach. He earned a B.A Degree at Rockmont College in Longmont, Colorado, where he met his wife Mary. Both Leeland and Mary completed a cross-cultural course at Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Crotts completed his M.A. Degree at Maranatha Baptist College and earned his D. Min. Degree from Pensacola Christian Theological Seminary. Dr. Mary Crotts graduated from Rockmont College with a B.A. Degree and earned her M.A. Degree in Middle Eastern History and Archaeology from Kent State University and received a Doctors degree from Indianapolis Christian University. Drs. Leeland and Mary Crotts entered the ministry in Los Angeles in 196l. They ministered to children and college-age young people. In 1974, they took a group of 25 Baptist college students to Israel to work on a kibbutz for the summer. The people of Israel captured their hearts, and they returned to the kibbutz year after year. For many years they lived near the Sea of Galilee. In 1980, they created Baptists for Israel Institute, a one-year program where Baptist college students could live and work on a kibbutz while studying the Bible on location. Classes were taught on the Biblical and prophetic sites. Dr. Leeland Crotts taught Bible and Israel's Culture, while Dr. Mary Crotts taught the History and Geography of Israel. Dr. Crotts was President for 40 years. The Crotts also organized and conducted Prophetic Seminars for adults to experience an in-depth trip to Israel where they personally visited the homes of some of the people of Israel. An emphasis was placed on reading the Scriptures at the historical and prophetic Biblical sites.
