E. Scott Dunlap holds a masters degree in Loss Prevention and Safety from Eastern Kentucky University and a doctoral degree in Higher and Adult Education from the University of Memphis and is a board-certified safety professional (CSP). He worked as a safety professional in government and industry for more than fourteen years before going on to teach in the graduate Safety, Security, and Emergency Management program at Eastern Kentucky University.
Throughout his career, he led efforts that resulted in continuous safety performance improvement for organizations such as Nike, Cargill, Archer Daniels Midland, and AutoZone.
Dr. Dunlap has spoken at regional and national conferences on occupational safety issues. He is the author of twelve articles, three books, and one book chapter on occupational safety issues.
