Synopsis

When medium Tess Schafer hears about the legend of a cursed tombstone in Bucksport, Maine, she decides to give the town a visit and see it for herself. When she finally gets there, its to discover that the small New England town is a paranormal treasure trove. Also, there is something about that legend that requires further investigation. Since town founder Jonathan Buck is involved, Tess figures his legacy deserves to have the story behind the curse cleared up. Determined to uncover the truth, Tess decides to do some digging. Or she tries to anyway. Her efforts are getting interrupted by an imposing spirit of a Native American male. Who is he, what does he want and how in the world is he connected to the curse? Unfortunately, he's not her only problem. Her presence hasn't gone unnoticed among Bucksport's other ghosts, and as her ability continues to improve, Tess soon finds herself getting chased around by a pack of spirits and learning enough about the town's peppered history to know she and her gift are quite needed! As for the legend that brought her to Bucksport, well it's turning out to be more than she bargained for. The spirits are restless for a reason and no matter what happens, she means to find out why. One thing for sure, the town has secrets and its ghosts have decided it's time to bring them to light. And if she helps a citizen or two while she's at it, all the better!

Deborah was a normal kid living a normal life when she moved into a haunted old farmhouse at the age of seven. Suddenly she was sharing space with dead people and experiencing the bizarre world of the unknown. An over-active imagination did not, at first, serve her well for she feared what she did not understand. Learning to read opened her to the world of books and she read everything she could find about the supernatural and paranormal phenomena. The more she read, the more she learned and the more she realized how little she knew. This has led to a lifelong search for knowledge. Constantly inspired to write, she's been jotting down her stories since the age of eight and though she was determined to grow up and be an author, her sense of adventure led to a career in the United States Air Force. Although she led a very busy and demanding life, Deborah continued writing stories and now with her military career behind her, she is living her lifelong dream and sharing the stories she's been so compelled to write.
