Flying the Frontiers, Volume III, is Shirlee Smith Matheson's 10th book, with the promise of more yet to come from this high-flying author. Matheson's nonfiction books have won provincial awards in both Alberta and British Columbia, and her fiction books for young people have all been Canadian Children's Book Centre "Choices." When not researching and writing, she teaches courses in both fiction and nonfiction writing, gives presentations of her work to schools, libraries and various organizations, and is the Administrative Officer at the Aero Space Museum of Calgary.
