About the Author
Briony Penn is a writer, illustrator and lecturer with a Ph.D. in geography who lives on Saltspring Island, B.C., with her two teenage sons. Briony writes books and columns on natural history and community mapping. For three years, she hosted a weekly show on CHUM TV called Environ/Mental, but she is now back to slower things like writing books.
