Roy M. Stevens was born in Rome, Maine. He was a member of the Marine Corps for seven years, serving in Mainland China for the end of World War II until the Communists took over the government in 1948. He was discharged but later called back in the Corps to serve in the Korean conflict. Stevens has been self-employed for over 30 years with Lambda Vector Corporation manufacturing microwave products for the government.
