The first anthology of its kind, Indivisible brings together forty-nine American poets who trace their roots to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Featuring award-winning poets including Meena Alexander, Agha Shahid Ali, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, and Vijay Seshadri, here are poets who share a long history of grappling with a multiplicity of languages, cultures, and faiths. Neelanjana Banerjee is editor-in-chief of AsianWeek and lives in San Francisco, CA. Summi Kaipa founded the journal Interlope and lives in Berkeley, CA. Pireeni Sundaralingam was born in Sri Lanka and raised and educated in the UK. She attended the University of Oxford and has been featured in The Oxford & Cambridge Anthology of Poetry and The Guardian. She lives in San Francisco, CA.
