From Library Journal:

This is a collection of interviews that Griffeth (Bill Griffeth's 10 Steps to Financial Prosperity, LJ 6/15/94) held with John Rogers Jr., John Neff, Peter Lynch, and 17 other active and retired mutual fund managers during the summer of 1994. Griffeth asked these men and women about their investment philosophies; among other things, they tell how they got started in investing and what they believe the future holds for mutual funds. Griffeth intended the interviews to "be timeless conversations about how these people do what they do and about what makes them tick," and he warns that there are "very few buy and sell recommendations here." Although most of the individuals included have been profiled elsewhere, Griffeth's book is notable because his questions are tailored to the individual; the interviews are long enough to yield a strong sense of each one's life. Recommended for popular business collections.

From Booklist:

One especially popular type of investment book identifies successful investors, interviews or profiles them, and then describes their financial philosophies and strategies. John Train's Money Masters and Jack Schwager's Market Wizards exemplify this best-selling genre. Griffeth follows the same formula as he highlights the careers of nearly two dozen of today's most accomplished mutual fund managers. He also includes portraits of early pioneers in this investment field, starting with L. Sherman Adams, the so-called father of the modern mutual fund. Griffeth is a coanchor on four of CNBC's financial news programs and author of Bill Griffeth's 10 Steps to Financial Prosperity (1994). Given that 60 million persons now have money invested in mutual funds and that there seems to exist an insatiable appetite for information about this type of investment, Griffeth's book will be a welcome addition to popular investment collections.
