Synopsis
British naval historian David and his author and sailor son Stephen characterize Vice Admiral Horatio Viscount Nelson (1758- 1805) as a fierce and skillful fighter but a gently and kindly man in their biography of the hero of Trafalgar and other naval battles. About the Author
David Howarth was a radio war correspondent, a naval officer during World War II, and the author of The Shetland Bus. He died in 1991. Stephen Howarth, the son of David Howarth, is an acclaimed author and an experienced sailor.
