Sandra Angelo grew up in the primitive jungles of Africa, which would later inspire much of her artistic work. She has traveled to 45 states and 40 countries and speaks six languages.
Angelo is a writer for The Artist's Magazine and American Artist and has also worked as a contributing editor for Art Materials Today. She writes brochures for art material manufacturers and teaches workshops at resorts, universities, art schools, retail stores, and art guilds. She was the recipient of the prestigious Fellowship Award form Rhode Island School of Design. As director of the annual Colored Pencil Symposium, Angelo brings together the nation's foremost colored pencil artists to teach a wide variety of techniques.
Angelo has also release a video series demonstrating colored pencils and other drawing media. Her work can be found in both corporate and private collections worldwide. Her simple, step-by-step teaching methods have been known to bring out talent in the most elementary artists.
