Christophe Loviny is a freelance journalist and photographer. While on assignment in Cuba, he was inspired to create this homage after meeting Alberto Korda, the photographer responsible for the most celebrated image of Che Guevara. He befriended other Cuban photographers who had known Che, including Raoul Corrales and Perfecto Romero, and met with Guevara's daughters, his wife, his friends, and Cuban authorities, who, intrigued by his project, opened the state archives to him. Loviny's work has been published in magazines throughout France, Europe, Japan, and the United States. He lives in Paris.Excerpt. © Reprinted by permission. All rights reserved.:
