From Library Journal:

This directory profiles more than 100 undergraduate environmental programs offered at U.S. colleges and universities that meet criteria developed by the Alliance for Environmental Education. Program profiles are grouped into five chapters: Environmental Engineering and Design, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, and Natural Resources Management. Precise one-page entries describe each program's objectives and special features, majors offered, and information about the career paths of graduates. In addition, a "fast facts" chart lists enrollment and faculty figures, number of degrees conferred, tuition, and a contact name for further information. Since many of the profiles contain technical terms, the book also includes a glossary of environmental terminology. Five essays by prominent environmentalists outline career opportunities in teaching, government, corporations, and the nonprofit sector. A useful bibliography of additional career-related resources, as well as geographical and college and university indexes, complete the volume. The directory should be very helpful to college applicants interested in pursuing environmental studies. Recommended for public and undergraduate college libraries.

From School Library Journal:

Grade 10 Up-A college directory that's particularly well designed and user friendly, due (at least in part) to its narrow focus and input from specialists in the field. It should be examined cover to cover by any student who feels a pull toward an environmental career. The rigorous criteria for inclusion were established by members of the Alliance for Environmental Education and are spelled out in the opening pages. The collection of essays in the "Career Watch 2000" section makes a clear distinction between "environmental studies" and "environmental science," establishing their interdependence and providing models for each approach. Careers and opportunities in teaching, government, the corporate world, and the private non-profit sector are discussed in general terms. The bulk of the volume is devoted to one-page profiles of individual programs at each institution, arranged by the major career fields. A glossary, an annotated bibliography, and two indexes (geographical and institutional) are also included. An excellent resource for all high-school libraries, college-admissions counselors, and science departments that seek to foster interest in environmental education.
