The democratization of Spain following Franco's death in 1975 kindled a commitment to honor convivencia (pluralism). The director of the U. of Southern California's Graduate Museum Studies Program and of USC's Fisher Gallery illustrates (narratively and visually) these efforts in case studies of such venues as the Sephardic Museum, Toledo, and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Basque country. The author also discusses the relevance for US exhibits. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
