Locust Grove is located on the banks of the Ohio in Lousiville KY. Five generations of the Croghans and Clark families, Willian Clark, Meriweather Lewis, Vice President Aaron Burr, James James Audubon, Presidents James Monroe and Zachary Taylor, and General Andrew Jackson. General George Clark lived his last nine years at Locust Grove.

About the Author
Melzie Wilson, a native of Madisonville, Kentucky, has lived in Louisville since 1964. She has had a life-long love affair with American and Kentucky history.While serving as a docent at Locust Grove for 12 years, she began her 19-year writing journey on the saga that has captured her heart and devotion. The integrity of her quest to record this story and her passion for the rich traditions of the people who gave birth and life to Locust Grove is an honorable representation of an outstanding legacy.
