Review

During a botanical excursion, Dr. Noreen discovers a cache of ancient photographs from the 20th century, before the Cataclysm. Photographs are forbidden in Fullerton, the domed city that humanity now calls home. They inspire strange new ways of thinking in Noreen. Their discovery threatens all he has worked for: his position, his relationships, his patients. He is involved in a torrid alliance with his boss' beautiful sister Martine. Craving the power and prestige Noreen can give her, she weaves a despotic scheme to prevent him from leaving Fullerton. Noreen desperately seeks another way to the outside to search for more contraband photos. His craving for them and the range of emotions they bring forth drives him to actions of political and personal self-destruction. Only through these photos does he learn there is more to freedom than meets the eye. Tim and Light is a technical masterpiece by a very gifted writer. -- Midwest Book Review
