It is 2011, and both Norma Suzette and Allie Fair are still LIVING life to the fullest. Theirs is a story of survival, faith, persistence, and triumph. Today, Allie Fair continues to journal about her physical, emotional, and spiritual feelings. The death of one of her children, Chuck, has been heartbreaking for her, but she continues her life journey. In her own words, surviving is a continuous journey of healing, growing, and hope. As she continues to face forward, she wants peace, love, and serenity in her life. Norma Suzette continues to write. She has finished her first novel, Red Moon River, also available on Amazon.com, and is currently writing childrens books. Living all these years with lymphedema has been challenging, but she accepts that along with hardships and mistakes, comes surprises, love, happiness, and even fun.

Review:

Life after cancer, that's what this book is about. It's about dealing with the physical and emotional pain of the disease, it's about hope, it's about a fuller life as a result of the experience. The authors' willingness to share their innermost feelings shows that they have grown and that they are FREE, free to express emotion and free to be that unique individual that each of us is. --Norma Messer, M.A., Book Indorsement

Allie Fair Sawyer and Norma Suzette Jones say they wrote their book with the idea in mind that if it helped just one woman, the effort was worthwhile. In addition to being there for each other in times of suffering, the two have been there for each other in times of fun. In the book, each woman tells the story of her illness, sometimes graphically detailing the pain and suffering involved in chemotherapy and radiation treatments. The details are not meant to frighten, but to reassure women that some of the things they may experience are common and they will come out on the other side, better for it, when the treatments are over. The book is about lifestyle changes, coping suggestions, and hope. --Carol Currie, Lifestyle Editor, Asheville Citizen-Times Newspaper (excerpt)
