Clifford J. Sager, M.D. is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and Director of the Center's Marital and Family OPD. Dr. Sager is also Psychiatric Director of the Employee Consultation and Corporate Health programs of the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services, and is in private practice in New York City. He is past president of the American Group Therapy Association and of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research. Dr. Sager's academic and clinical interests have focused on an integrated therapeutic approach to work with couples and families. He has authored Marriage Contracts and Couple Therapy, coauthored Treating the Remarried Family, and other books on couple and family therapy, as well as 90 articles and chapters in the scientific literature. Dr. Sager is founding co-editor of The Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy and is on the editorial board of numerous journals. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Psycho-analysis and of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Sager is the recipient of the Distinguished Professional Contribution Award for marital and family therapy of the American Association of Marital and Family Therapists and the similar award from the American Family Therapy Association.Review:
