Review
Oh My Goddess!, is described by some as "Friends" meets "I Dream of Genie," but this comic book has much more charm than that. Keiichi is a good-looking teenage boy with a low self-esteem, and as a result of this self-esteem problem, he's spending another Friday night alone. But lo and behold, when he goes to dial up a pizza delivery, he accidentally reaches the Goddess Technical Help Line, which sends him a "goddess" (a beautiful teenage genie named Belldandy) to grant him any one wish. Well, Keiichi wishes to have a goddess like her be with him always (and, of course, he gets his wish). Add to the mix Belldandy's mischievous sister, who is intent on getting them to sleep together. But that's just the setup. What makes Oh My Goddess! hard to put down until you're finished is the playful courtship between this young boy and girl, which inches toward consummation. This comic book is fulfilling and entertaining.
