This book captures the insurgent, unconventional, pioneering art activities and history of the legendary Rivington School, a large gang of street artists, sculptors, welders, performers, noise bands, trouble makers and Neoists who took over abandoned lots and buildings in New York’s Lower East Side in the 80s and turned them into junk gardens, welding workshops and performance spaces. At the least, it is the FIRST American edition, First Printing, from 2020, & only 11 copies of either edition are located worldwide (5/24). Large softcover quarto (9" x 12") has glossy black./white/gray/red decorative wrappers, in 288 pages. Condition is Near Fine, with extremely mild edgewear. Else, completely clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages white & unmarked, colors vivid.
