This book is the first published English translation from the Great Isaiah Scroll. The Great Isaiah Scroll was one of the first of the Dead Sea Scrolls to be discovered. It contains the oldest known text of the book of Isaiah, having been written about 250 B.C.E. The authors have translated three Messianic prophecies from the Scroll. Their study of this pre-Christian text reveals that many changes have crept into the Hebrew text - and from Hebrew into all modern translations - as the work was copied and recopied over centuries. A careful analysis of these changes has been made, and the authors have prepared an English translation which sheds new light on the Messiah.
