Elizabeth Jimenez was born in New York City in a neighborhood of diverse cultures. When she was 11, her family moved to California. Elizabeth grew up, decided she wanted to become a teacher, and spent time studying in Costa Rica and Mexico, finally completing her BA degree in Spanish in California where she still lives with her family.
