From mid-2004 to early 2006, Adi Da offered a series of discourses, in which he answered questions. As he had always done, he addressed each devotee personally, but was also instructing all beings, in all times and places.

In this discourse he reveals that liberation cannot ever be achieved through sex, science, or religion! And he makes the astounding assertion, "Realization has nothing to do with the body-mind."

While watching this video, you might feel you are there, in the room, with Adi Da, enjoying his liberating wisdom and his compassionate play with his devotees.

In this discourse Adi Da asks pivotal questions about sexuality:

Is there fulfillment in it? Is there satisfaction in it? Is there Happiness in it? Does it resolve itself? Is it an answer? Is this sexual thing right purpose of life? Does it have anything to do with Happiness, or Realization of Truth-whatever name you want to give to Ultimacy, or whatever references I make? Are bodies desirable, or are they repulsive?

He also explains the fundamental error in all forms of strategic sexual practice, which is the presumption of a separate self, or "point of view". He points out that this presumption is the very same subjective error in all modes of the search-whether for bodily pleasure, scientific knowledge, or union with "God".

The "self"-contraction, the "point of view", the "point-of-view"-machine and what it presumes to be. Reality, the illusions of Reality created by "point of view"-these are the important matters to be understood. The "you" to which you refer as "I", the ego-"I", is a "point-of-view"-machine. It is subject to the illusions of the cosmic apparition, the illusions that "point of view" itself is subject to: space-time, mass, and so forth.
--Adi Da Samraj, January 21, 2005

Because of this presumption of separateness, he says, liberation cannot ever be achieved through sex, science, or religion. Rather, true happiness is discovered only in the utter transcending of point of view , by means of the devotional relationship to him. Adi Da Samraj tells us that the universe is not as it seems from any point of view . This can be grasped-and it can change the course of life, and your relationship to sexuality and religion. What is a greater message than this?

About the Actor:

On November 27, 2008, Adi Da Samraj, departed from the body. He passed on to humankind a legacy of inexhaustible profundity and limitless blessing-power. Adi Da's primary gift is his own eternal transcendental spiritual being. The primary purpose of his human lifetime was to establish the means by which any and all beings could be truly connected to him and in devotional communion with him. Thus, he worked with utmost intensity, throughout his entire life, to develop and establish his transcendental spiritual way.
Adi Da's literary, philosophical, and practical writings consist of over sixty published books including The Knee of Listening, his spiritual autobiography, The Dawn Horse Testament, his magisterial revelation of the entire spiritual process from beginning to end, and The Aletheon, his final (and first and foremost) book. In addition to his writings, Adi Da gave thousands of hours of recorded discourse. Many discourses have been published by The Dawn Horse Press on CD and DVD.
Adi Da was also a prolific artist, producing a remarkable body of work in different media. He was invited to show his work in a solo exhibition at the 2007 Venice Biennale, and also as part of the 2008 Winter in Florence. "Not-Two Is Peace contains wisdom that can transform the current and ongoing world crises that so desperately need effective conflict resolution. If truly acted upon, what Adi Da advocates has the power to bring an end to the horrors and suffering that are the result of our mad need to differentiate between 'us' and 'them'."
--Hugh O'Doherty, John F Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University

"Absolutely brilliant. Undauntingly honest. Staggeringly bold. A breathtaking call to humankind to wake up."
--Charmian Anderson, Doctor of Transpersonal Psychology and author

Adi Da Samraj has gracefully given the world the most comprehensive, most complete, most clearly stated and beautifully written assertion of what True Religion and Genuine Spirituality are. Never before has the world been granted so great a gift as His Word, His Presence, and His Liberating Power. --Woodrow Anderson, Ph.D., former Professor of History, Southwest Texas State University
