"The Now Testament" is a collection of homilies and reflections given by Monsignor Joseph M. Wadowicz, beginning with the first Sunday in Advent and ending with the 33rd Sunday Ordinary Time. Monsignor Wadowicz gathers up the pieces of God he finds in all sorts of different places and weaves them together in these exceptional, insightful texts. They are refreshing and real, yet short enough to be read and pondered on a daily basis.
The reflections are a blend of various disciplines and forms of expression. Monsignor Wadowicz draws on the works of many contemporary personalities, including Charles Schultz, Mark Twain and Margery Williams, as well as classical poets and philosophers such as Plato.
"The Now Testament" aptly integrates each gospel into the complexities of modern society, making the Word of God extremely relevant and accessible. Although the reflections and their author are Catholic, the messages within transcend denomination and will appeal to people of all religions, even readers with no religious affiliation at all.
