Darden, Alabama. The South at its best and worst. More than just an exit off I-65, Darden was home to Rhonda Haynes. Nominated for country music's Entertainer of the Year, the legendary redhead was determined to win, but knew winning wasn't ever enough. There had to be more and more meant relying on the magical lyrics of Dusty Harmon, ex-husband and tormented soul mate.

About the Author:

Jerrod (Jerry) Daniels is an author, attorney, and songwriter (lyrics only). His first novel, "Cunning Treatment," was published in 2000 and will soon be available on Kindle. He has completed the first draft of his third novel, "At Thirty Thousand Feet" (the story of an entreprenuer gone wrong)and is outlining a fourth, "The Incest Ball" (a comic parody on the behind-the-scene activities for society galas for various body parts and diseases). He counts as professional career highlights his political speechwriting and serving as Chairman of the Pancake Breakfast at his daughter's school. He has interacted with famous people in many venues and judges someone by whether he would want to have dinner with them. His passions include politics, rescuing critters, and art history, a college course which changed his intellectual life (before earning a Master of Arts degree in history and political science). He is well traveled and considers his patio and Luxor, Egypt, as his favorite places. When asked what is his proudest professional experience, he will quickly tell you that teaching college freshmen (English Composition, Economics, and Political Science)for ten years at night after his daughter went to college was an invaluable part of his giving back. He considers his daughter as his lifetime achievement. If he could hear Dolly Parton sing his "Hollyhock Day Dreams" and see Faye Dunaway and Matthew McConaughey remake "Sweet Bird of Youth" (originally Paul Newman and Geraldine Page), he is convinced the entertainment world would be enriched.
