Michael Furtman is a full-time writer whose waterfowl articles and photographs have appeared in many magazines, including Ducks Unlimited and Wildfowl. His books include Wild Goose Country and On the Wings of a North Wind: A Journey with Waterfowl. He lives in Duluth, Minnesota, with his wife, Mary Jo, and their black Labrador retriever, Wigeon.
