Susan Shapiro is an American-born Jewish journalist who has written for the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Nation, Salon, the Daily Beast, the Forward, and Tablet. She is the author of eight books, including the memoirs Lighting Up, Five Men Who Broke My Heart, and Only as Good as Your Word.
