Kindergarten-Grade 3A didactic book that deals with differences and similarities among all people. The message is important, but the text is somewhat repetitive and tedious. The bold, bright-bordered illustrations feature cartoonlike children of various ethnic backgrounds. Each attribute, depicted in pen and marker on posterboard, covers a two-page spread. Fleeting references are made to common concepts such as acceptance of differences, the importance of understanding through listening, thinking about the feelings of others, and accomplishing tasks through cooperation. This book could be of potential use for units on social skills.Stephani Hutchinson, Pioneer Elementary School, Sunnyside, WA
