Rebel Cornbread and Yankee Coffee, which is his first book, is the result of extensive research conducted during the last ten years. Fisher is a lifelong War Between the States enthusiast, a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and a former member of the Los Angeles Civil War Roundtable. He, his wife, and their two children live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
