Charles Reynolds was born in Northern Ireland and served in India with the Royal Air Force during World War II. Ordained by the United Methodist Church, Reynolds returned to India as district missionary and district superintendent. IN 1965, he became executive director of the Ludhiana Christian Medical College Board and served more than thirty years.
Reynolds has degrees from Adrian College and the Drew University School of Theology. He also has honorary degrees from Asbury College and the Academy of Ecumenical Indian Theology and Church Administration, Madras, India.
In 1995, Reynolds was commissioned as an officer of the Most Honourable Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II. In 1998, the citizens of Ludhiana awarded him a "Talwar" (Sword of Honour). He resides in New Albany, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Maud.
