Looking back at his more than three-quarters of a century, Clarence Sheffield marvels at youth, war, society, family, friends, love, and change. In his down-to-earth memoir, Sheffield captures America’s South as it was before World War II, a young man’s adventures in wartime, and a born educator’s passion for teaching and learning. Told with clarity, humor, truth, and insight, The Wonder of It All will delight those who lived similar experiences, as well as inspire those who value the past and its legacies.
