About the Author

Dr. Ronda Ormont worked as a career counselor for more than twenty years. In 1986, she cofounded the Actors' Work Program (now a division of the Actors' Fund of America), a career guidance agency for entertainment industry professionals such as actors, singers, dancers, musicians, set and costume designers, directors, and writers. She was a frequent lecturer across the country, and published numerous articles in professional and trade journals.
