In these pages is the dramatic, personal testimony of hHelen Smith. It begins with her childhood memories in the South during the mid-1930s and follows her painful experiences as she fights to"be somebody" despite racial, economic, and even religious barriers. A golden thread of dramatic dreams, visions, and angelic visitations builds a bridge between the painful and often tragic realities in her life and the heavenly promises God makes to her. Defying all odds and circumstances, she relied upon the words of her mother," You're going to be somebody!" god's faithfullness brought these words to pass, and today Helen is "somebody!"
