Remy knew, hoped, that God had destined her for something better in spite of the horror she endured.
Remmington Wintergate struggles to find herself in a world governed by free will. In her eighteen years of life she has experienced more than her share of trauma. Through these experiences, she comes to realize that by her Creator, she has been equipped to survive. Remy is able to feel the intentions and emotions of everyone she comes in contact with. Her moment of truth occurs during a torturous abduction by the man she thought was her father...
I sat in silence, staring at his face, which was too close to mine. He was doing the same. He was taking in every detail. Did I look unrecognizable to him, now that he had been with me in the most horribly intimate of ways?
Was I even Remy anymore? Did Remy die from that tumultuous fall down the stairs? He loosened his grip on my hair and steadied his hold by placing his other hand on the side of my head.
"You are going to have to kill me," a fate which was becoming more appealing.
"I know what I m doing." His voice was calm.
"I can tell. This kind of evil...takes practice."
With You Always reminds us of our life s purpose: to enjoy relationship with our Creator and his creation. No matter where we are in life, God is with us and wants to pull us into His presence. No matter what we have done or survived, God wants us to flourish within His loving arms.
