This two-part video training program will help you raise awareness about safety and OSHA issues in your practice. As part of a more comprehensive training effort, the materials help your practice meet the OSHA requirement for training staff about hazards in the workplace. The content was reviewed in 2014 and updated to include OSHA's new Globally Harmonized System (GHS) rules for hazardous chemicals.
The program is presented in two DVDs to help fit the training into busy practice schedules. The first DVD, Veterinary Safety Training for the Whole Practice Team, contains generalized safety information that is valuable to everyone. This DVD, Veterinary Safety Training for Medical and Technical Staff, the second in the series, is designed for those who work directly with animals and/or chemicals. Each DVD can be used independently or together for your training needs.
Both DVDs are veterinary practice specific and use easy-to-understand terminology to increase comprehension and application of the materials. Both present safety issues in terms of quality of patient care not as impediments to getting the job done.
The accompanying workbooks reinforce the information provided in the DVDs and include test questions to help the user and practice manager assess comprehension and progress. The advice presented generally applies to practices in other countries as well as the United States, and it incorporates concepts presented in the AAHA Standards of Accreditation.
The Be Safe Series training program blends safety, quality patient care, and the need for productivity into a balanced format that can help your entire practice team achieve safety success!
