Luis Ortiz was born in 1970 in the Dominican Republic. He attended Union University, and began his Major League baseball career on August 31, 1993, with the Boston Red Sox. After playing for Boston for 2 years, he was traded to the Texas Rangers, where he played for 2 more seasons. Ortiz has also played professionally for teams in Mexico, Canada, and Japan.Review:
