In early nineteenth century Italy, Raul Vedici, the man who had discovered an island in the southern hemisphere, disappears, and is never seen again. He leaves behind a haughty noble-lady-like wife, and a young son. Nobody knows the son's real name. They just call him Captain. He journeys, later in his life, to find his father's hidden island, and to find the father he never got to know. But of course problems cross his path, from the man named Hermes, who is after the map, to bad weather on the Atlantic Ocean. The man does not give up though, and strives to beat time and the waves on the wide ocean, to find a meaning in his life. But who knows what other obstacles cross his path, as he tries to make his way through the world. My life, so far, is not worth writing about. But if you insist, I can mention a few things that are worth mentioning. I was born in Romania in a city in the northern part of the country called Cluj-Napoca. I went to a German based school there, when I was young, and by the end of second grade, I could speak fluent German. Of course all of that is gone now. My German is as good as a cat's bark. I came to the United States five years ago, in 1999. At that time, I was nine, but it still only took me three months to learn English. Now, I am thirteen years of age, and live in California. I enjoy playing tennis, playing soccer, and running. In my spare time, in most of my spare time, I should say, I like to write. But, as you see, that is not that important now. My age especially, is not that important now. So, if you have ever wondered what a thirteen year old is doing in the writing business, how good the writing is, and if it really is worth talking about, pick up the book and read it... It just might amaze you somehow...
